Our Story
The PAC (Prom Angel Charity) was established to assist young women in Oklahoma with fnancial and social challenges achieve highter self-esteem and self-worth:  Every little girl dreams of growing up to become a princess someday.  There are thousands of girls in Oklahoma who are prevented from attending thier prom simply because they lack the finances to purchase the items they need to attend.  Such hardships encourages a feeling of worthlessness in society, promoting the cycles of poverty, abuse, teen pregnancy, and drop out rate.  I'm not rich enough to attend prom, I'm not good enough to go to college or get a good job, I don't deserve to marry a man that won't abuse me - all of these problems start with the issues of self image.  While raising one's self-worth has been shown to break the cycle of these life-destroying habits; Raising self-esteem provides motivation to want to rise up and improve one's own life.  That is the purpose of the PAC as a state-wide non-profit organization.

Even though the PAC operates on a local-to-regional level, it is very effective and financially efficient with its resources:only 25% of the annual budget is funded through public donation, the other 75% is funded directly through prom dresses and shoe manufacturers, individual volunteers, and a sizeable grant from the charity's founder, T.F. Massad, and other members of the board.  The PAC is expecting to provide 300 full scholarships this year to students throughout Oklahoma, Southern Kansas, Northwest Arkansas, and Southwest Missouri.  The scholarship covers the expense of a new pair of prom shoes, dresses that have been donated or purchased and provides free (or discounted) jewlery, hair styling, and make-up (while supplies last).
